FEATURED ARTISTS

VOICE OF MERCY

Voice of Mercy's ministry, which was birthed from New Hope Church, takes the group's message, music, and creative dramatic/comedic presentations to women's conferences, churches, community events, and retreats across the nation and beyond. They have ministered with such names as Evangelist David Ring, the Talley Trio, Thomas Road Baptist's Shari Falwell, Jen and Linda Barrick, Eternal Vision, and with Pastor Tom Sterbens for Mercy Speaks.

THE REUNITED

Steve Laciak and Kate Phillips have been harmonizing together since 1991, when they met as kids in upstate New York. After several years apart, the two artists have teamed up again to continue their latest adventure as a musical duo. There is magic in the mountains of Tennessee, and together they share their gifts through songs & stories. As a singer-songwriter, Steve has performed with Rock and Roll Hall-of-Fame members Martha Reeves & Mary Brown, Latin legends such as Pete Escovedo & Trini Lopez, Pop star Cece Peniston, Jazz icons Bob Berg, Dr. Billy Taylor & Randy Brecker. After attending Marymount Manhattan College and the Actors and Singers Academy at Carnegie Hall, Kate combined extensive training with her passion for the performing arts and began a career on the stage. She has made appearances in national commercials, independent films, motion pictures, music videos, TV shows and numerous Broadway revues. Kate has also had the pleasure of working with Tommy Tune, Mia Michaels, Jack Lee and Yoko Ono.

JEFF LANE

Musically, Jeff is a bit of an anomaly, since he kept songwriting a bit of a secret for his entire life. It was in 2010, due to a very long story (which you can ask him about personally if you like) that Jeff was persuaded to start playing his songs in front of people. It was very difficult at first, so Jeff formed a band with some great musicians and recorded a record called "Where the Buffalo Roam".  Jeff is now gallivanting all over the country, discovering new guitar licks, meeting new people and delving into amazing musical adventures at songwriter rounds and original music open mics.

THE PEA PICKIN HEARTS

The Pea Pickin’ Hearts are an Americana duo influenced by the sounds of the 1940s & 50s and have called Gatlinburg, TN home for almost a decade. Lead singer Rachel Gibson & guitarist Jon Ives create unique harmonies that can only develop after years of listening–one to the other.  The name “Pea Pickin’ Hearts” is a reference to none other than Tennessee Ernie Ford’s famous line “Bless your pea pickin’ heart” –a Southern euphemism for ‘simple & country’.  The name is a tribute to their history together & their Tennessee home. The Pea Pickin’ Hearts released a folk-inspired CD, “Creekwood Crow” (August 2014), and spend most of their days touring the eastern US playing & singing their unique Americana mashup of country, rockabilly, folk & hillbilly tunes.  They are currently working on a third CD slated for release in August 2015.

MARTHA CHRISTIAN

She’s a spunky girl, pretty comfortable in her own skin, with a story of hope for the weary heart, a deep love for the skeptic, and a passionate voice that makes folks stay and listen. That’s Martha Christian, both on and off the stage. In the vein of Bonnie Raitt, Sheryl Crow, and Susan Tedeschi, Martha blends honest lyrics and catchy melodies with a transparency and openness that resonates with her growing listening audience. She is the 2011 Hard Rock Cafe Gatlinburg’s Cabin Fever Acoustic Songwriter contest winner and continues to co-write, sing and lead worship. She can be seen performing in the Nashville area, Bowling Green and in her East Tennessee mountains.

LOGAN MURRELL

Logan has been a part of several productions in Pigeon Forge, beginning with Elwood Smooches old Smoky Hoedown when she was nine. She was the featured vocalist of the 2006 Clayton Christmas concert with the Knoxville Symphony. She shared the stage at the beautiful Tennessee Theater with the Knoxville Opera in the production of LaBoheme’ in 2007. She then spent the rest of the 2007 season at Country Tonite Theatre.  In 2015 she is on her own as Logan Murrell and having a blast traveling around the southeast sharing her passion for music. Having spent some time in the past few years in Nashville, Logan is excited about her future in the music business. Writing songs and producing have moved to the top of her list of favorite things to do.
